Hasta el sábado se sabrán cuál o cuales son los Mejores Diarios Diseñados del Mundo. El top- 10-no-oficial ya es del dominio público y ahora un equipo diferente evaluará los periódicos para determinar al ganador del codiciado título.El año pasado Azkia, Expresso, Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung y The Guardian se alzaron con el triunfo.
En esta edición dos elementos han sido los protagonistas -según el propio blog de SND- del concurso: Obama y los rediseños. 2008 ha sido uno de los años en que más rediseños, especialmente estadounidenses, se estrenaron en este afán de atrapar al lector que se está yendo por el camino del Internet, y también para cautivar a la audiencia joven que casi no los voltea a ver. Al parecer el capítulo de Rediseños en el libro estará más ancho esta vez.
Mi apuesta para este año (o los que me gustaría que ganaran aunque no sé si enviaron entradas) son: National Post, Expresso, The Guardian y Público (España).
Quizá la sorpresa de la 30 edición sea The National el nuevo diario en inglés de Abu Dhabi. No lo conozco lo suficiente pero las páginas que he visto me recuerdan a un mix Guardian+Periódico de Catalunya. No me termina de encantar.
Creo que el combo será algo así: habrá un diario alemán (casi siempre los hay), una vaca sagrada, una revelación y algún repetidor.
